About The A's

The Orangeville A's are a Canadian professional basketball team that play out of the Athlete Institute in Orangeville, Ontario. The 2013-2014 season was the A’s inaugural season in the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC), the NBLC is Canada’s only professional basketball league, founded in 2011.

The A’s entered the league operating as the Brampton A’s out of Brampton, ON. Commencing the 2015-16 season the A’s have moved their team north to Orangeville, ON, where they will play out of their home facility, the Athlete Institute. The franchise is looking forward to Bringing the A’s Home this season!

The NBLC is made up of 8 teams that are located as far west as Windsor, Ontario, and stretch all the way out to the East coast of Canada, making up the Atlantic Division with teams in Charlottetown, Halifax, Saint John, and Moncton. The other teams joining Orangeville and Windsor in the Central Division are located in London and Niagara. In its short existence, the league has displayed an exciting and highly skilled level of basketball, showcasing talented players from all over the world. Players are scouted, recruited and drafted from the NCAA, CIS, FIBA, OCAA, and many other leagues and associations that display talent at a high caliber.
